REHEARSALS (DRAMA WITH YUSUF) PEER FEEDBACK
Continuing on from yesterday, Yusuf saw Mauricia, Simone and Bicton-Macbeth Act 5 Scene 1 when Lady Macbeth goes crazy and sees ghosts of the people her husband has killed. Now that Simone is completely refreshed we were able to watch their whole scene. The opening of their piece is much better, Simone is much more relaxed and has looked into her character, Mauricia as always is doping well but what she has to do is to reduce her volume its great that we can hear her and that she is trying to fill the space but she has to be more quieter. Overall she's doing great :D. On the other hand Bicton is coming along fine but he needs to bring more urgency, slow it down and break it down. He's got good emphasis as he delivers his lines but he needs to take it apart more. I think their piece is alot stronger and it is starting to become understandable.
Next pairs up was Sean and Tracy-Hamlet, Act 4 Scene 3. Their piece is much better than it was before and it's clear that they have been rehearsing it between break/lunch times and it has come alot stronger. Sean has got nice energy but he has to experiment abit more with his character so he is able to maintain his energy throughout as we are wathching their scene. Tracy is also doing great, she is more grounded/suttle with her character also she is more engaged and has a strong connection. At the moment Tracy & Sean's piece is he best so far.
ME & PRINCE REHEARSING OUR FIGHT SCENE FROM MACBETH
The feedback that me & Prince got from Sintisha is that at the moment our piece is at a high level but it's not at the standard at where it should be. We've got the sequences and movements right but the only thing that is missing is the intention within this scene- meaning that me & Prince have to wanna really kill each other. I think at the moment that I'm not giving it enough and playing too safe, it's too camp and I think about my mistakes too much with this piece. Every time I have second thoughts I have this feeling that I'm going to break the Cain as I strike Prince, my physicality and all sorts of little things, because I think about these stuff a lot I am not performing to the best of my ability and the piece is looking to cliché. Alex says it looks a lot better with us using cains and it's believable. Hopefully next week our piece would be much better and we should have the swords (replicas) by then.
